Mai El-Sadany

Mai El-Sadany is a Legal Associate at the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL). She has previously worked at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights; the American Civil Liberties Union; Human Rights First; Kohn, Kohn, and Colapinto LLP; and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In her capacity as a Non-Resident Fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP), Ms. El-Sadany has been published on legal and constitutional issues in Egypt and sectarian violence in the Middle East.

She holds a J.D. and certificate in refugees and humanitarian emergencies from the Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in political science from Stanford University. She is fluent in Arabic.
